The elevation map of Kaua'i that hangs in the house where we're staying. It was very useful to have this map to see where everything was in relation to where we are staying.

Aubrey and Dalton set up a "nature store" where they would make things "out of nature" and sell them "for things like pennies" (Daniel suggested that "things like pennies" means "money.) When Daniel asked to take a picture of them working in their Nature Store, Aubrey said "I'm not really working" and had some of her drink (which, despite being in a wine glass, was in fact perfectly child-friendly guava juice.)

Us before setting off for the day. It started to rain very heavily as we drove up to Kapa'a.

We drove to a meadery called Nani Moon. Mead, of course, is made from honey. This gives us the title for today's blog entry. (Nani means pretty, and is also the name of Lilo's sister in Lilo and Stitch. The tasting was very interesting, and we ended up buying two bottles to take home. The meadery ships to the mainland as well, so if we want to buy more in the future we will be able to. Their mead is made of largely local ingredients, including cacao, pineapple, lime, and ginger, as well as local honey.

We asked the lady at the meadery for a lunch recommendation, and she suggested Duke's. We decided to follow the suggestion and go back to Duke's. This time Daniel got the fish tacos and Catherine got the wings. It was a nice lunch with beautiful views.

After lunch we went to see the Spouting Horn at Poipu. We happened to see a turtle swimming near it, which was interesting to see.
